Durga Prasad Dhar (1918–1975) was a prominent Kashmiri politician and an Indian diplomat who was a confidant of Indira Gandhi. He served as Ambassador of India to the Soviet Union, and as a minister in the Kashmir and Delhi administrations. ==Personal life and education== D.P. Dhar was born on 10 May 1918. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Punjab and went on to complete his LLB from the University of Lucknow.
